Sylvan Hills High School welcomes our new faculty on campus. I would like to introduce Mrs. Smith, our Cosmetology teacher who joined SHHS in March of 2023. This is her first year of teaching on the Hillside and I would like to share information on our Cosmetologist.
Mrs. Smith wanted to become a teacher because she felt that there was a need to step up and make a difference in students’ lives. “I’m not here just to teach them, I’m here to love and care for them.” Smith considers all of her lessons successful. If she feels that her lessons are difficult for scholars to master then she is willing to stay on that lesson until they are comfortable and ready to move forward. Technology was one of the challenges that Mrs. Smith felt was challenging because cell phones were a distraction, especially for her.
