Stories say North Korea leader Kim Jong Un has been said to have cut off reconciliation with South Korea and called for a rewriting of North’s Constitution to get rid of any shared statehood between the “war-divided countries.”
As of Sunday, January 14, Israel and Hamas have been at war. “Just before 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas fired thousands of rockets as it attacked Israel by air, land and sea. Hamas fighters stormed dozens of communities along Israel’s southern border with the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian enclave, murdering at least 1,200 people and kidnapping 240 others, who were taken back to Gaza.”

“More than three-fourths of economists — 76% — said they believe the chances of a recession(a decrease in production, employment, and income actively spreading across economies) in the next 12 months is 50% or less, according to a December survey from the National Association for Business Economics.”
“Layoffs, which made headlines at the end of 2023, may continue in the new year. While 29% of companies shed workers in 2023, 21% of companies expect they may have layoffs in 2024, according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas, an outplacement and business and executive coaching firm.”
