Today we Spotlight Jamie Briggs, the CEO of BEAR NECESSITIES.

Bear Necessities is where you can get snacks, coffee, gum, protein bars, drinks, and slushies. The store is on the 1st floor of the 12 building and right in front of the counselor’s office. The store is open in the morning from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., and 2:40 p.m. to 3:55 p.m.

Mr Lewis says, “[T]he reason you should go [to Bear Necessities] is that it’s a place to be able to get snacks and hydration.”

Bear Necessities also offers students the chance to gain work experience, so by stopping in, you can give your fellow students experience in customer service.

“Bear Necessities is a good way to get ready to work in the real world, because it helps [students] get job experience with people you know,” Briggs said.

Getting job experience with people you know can be less stressful and offer great learning opportunities in a more comfortable and forgiving setting than working outside the school campus.

“If you come to work the shop, you will get different types of skills, like customer service skills, teamwork skills, cashier skills, all types of skills that help run a business,” Briggs said.
