The Sylvan Hills Bears Football Team is set to take on the Wildcats of El Dorado tonight at Bill Blackwood Field. The game starts at 7:00 p.m. and will be Sylvan Hills’ Homecoming. Homecoming court will be announced at halftime. The queen will be crowned shortly after.
Nia Evans, Brittney Gray, Nadya Phan, Bailey Verdell, Ka’mya Tackett, Aurianna Smith are the Senior Maids. Haley Belin, Jaci Rainey, Kyra Looney, Asia Harper, Emery Mcnair are the Junior Maids. Sara Childers, Jadelynn Isom, Anecia Riley, Elaina White are the Sophomore Maids.
“I’m ready to play,” Sophomore Ryan Parham said. “As long as we stick to the plan and do what we went over in film, we should win without a doubt.”
The Wildcats are 2-3 this season, coming off of a hard fought loss against Marion last week. Sylvan Hills is looking for their first win. If Sylvan Hills wins this game and the next two, they could have a shot at the playoffs.
“We need to execute the game plan” Junior Marcus Heard said. “We just need to do what we were taught to do in order to get the homecoming win tonight.”
Immediately following the game tonight, there will be a Homecoming Dance in the new cafeteria. Tickets are sold out.
