The Sylvan Hills Lady Bears open their season 6 p.m. tonight versus the El Dorado Wildcats. JV Boys open at 5 p.m. Varsity boys play at 7 p.m. We were able to interview Coach Stricklen, in her second year as the girls’ coach. More interviews with coaches and players will follow.
Banner Staff: What do y’all expect going into this 2024-25 season?
Coach Stricklen: I expect a high pace, smart, aggressive, and talkative team.
Staff: How do you come together as a team?
Stricklen: I want everyone on the team to treat each other as if this were a family and they were all sisters protecting one another.
Staff: How do you bounce back from a loss?
Stricklen: This team has the confidence to be able to push past a loss and wake right back up, lock-in and finish the job on the next game.
