Sylvan Hills Wrestlers head to the 5A State Championship

With the Wrestling season coming to a close, the Lady Bears Wrestling team went to the 5A South Regional in El Dorado on February 14-15 while the boys went on the 21st and 22nd. Both teams fought hard and showed great determination. The Lady Bears are sending 12 wrestlers to the state championships and the Bears are sending 7 of their boys. Sylvan Hills would like to recognize each State Bound Wrestler.

The Lady Bears are this year’s 5A South All-Region Champions, scoring 222 points as a team and the All Regions Wrestlers and their placing are as follows:

Emele Siegfried – 1st

Jadelynn Ison – 2nd

Giselle Lopez – 2nd

Crystal Campbell – 2nd

Makenzie Marbray – 1s

Payton Finch – 4th

Neveah Campbell – 1st

Makenzie Walker – 4th

Adrian York – 2nd

Kyra Looney – 2nd

Abrielle Perry – 4th

Next, the Bears placed 5th scoring 131 points, their State Bound Wrestlers and their places are:

Mason Coyne – 2nd

Jackie Hutchins – 2nd

Traeton Cash – 2nd

Avery Moore – True 4th

Zion Mansfield – 2nd

Ryder Hopper – 4th

Brayden Williams – 2nd

Congratulations to each Wrestler who qualified for the 5A State Championship this weekend at UALR. Months of hard work have led up to this point and these wrestlers are all ready to battle it out for the championship.
