Girls Softball

The lady Bears are coming off of a strong win against Mount St. Mary Belles in a 17-0 sweep. The Lady Bears are 4-2 in conference play as they look to work themselves back to the 5a State playoffs this year. They have a strong team and on average have been beating their opponents by 5 or more runs in the last 5 games. The Lady Bears next matchup is also today at Parkview High. The game is slated to start at 6:00pm.

Junior Nia Heard-Thomas had this to say about their expectations this season, ” We have to play as a team, work hard, win the championship, and never give up. If we do those things we are in good shape.”

Boys Baseball

The Bears Baseball team has had a strong start to the season with their conference record being 3-1 and coming off of a great win against Beebe Badgers 7-5. The Bears are looking to keep that winning mentality alive these next upcoming games as they try to make thier run back to the 5a state playoffs this year. The boys next matchup is later today against the Greenbrier Panthers. The game is slated to start at 4:30pm in Greenbrier, Arkansas.

Senior Hunter Morgan had this to say about the team’s expectations this season, “We really want to win the state championship in May, but we have to start off by winning our conference first.”
