The Lady Bears lost this past Tuesday, September 9, to the Mount St. Mary Belles bringing their overall record to 2-3 with 3 consecutive losses.

The Lady Bears lost 3 consecutive sets Set 1: 13-25, Set 2: 23-25, and Set 3: 13-25. The consequential set was the second set which the Lady Bears lost by 2. Had they won that set they would’ve been tied 1-1 with momentum going into the third.

Demeryia Campbell and Amari Burse played well, both having 100% serving percentage

The Lady Bears are currently ranked 5th in the 5a central conference, with an upcoming home conference match next Tuesday September 16 versus the Beebe Badgers.

Captain Demeryia Campbell (12) said that the team’s biggest challenge is losing morale. When asked what she can do to help the team, Campbell said, “I can be more of a leader.”
