Spotlight on: Mr. Harper

Mr. Harper takes time out from teaching Juvenile Justice to pose for Banner staff. When he's not at parking lot duty or manning the scoreboard at the basketball games, you can find him in room 218 building 12.

Audrey Whitmire

Mr. Harper has been teaching for 26 years. He has spent the last 7 years teaching history and Juvenile Justice at Sylvan Hills High School. You can find him in building 12, on the second floor, in room 218. His favorite thing about his job is listening & interacting with the students. He looks forward to his units for Juvenile Justice the most, as those are his favorite units to teach. Asked to tell us something we don’t already know about him, Mr. Harper said “I once got my shot blocked by Alonzo Mourning.”
