Sylvan Hills hosted its annual Bear Fest on the Hillside this Saturday, August 19th. Festivities began bright and early at 8am at the Henson Tennis Center on 430 Dee Jay Hudson Drive with parents and family members competing in a doubles tournament with their student athletes against other student athletes and their parents and family.
At noon, the Junior High girls Volleyball team began their Blue and White play at Bear Arena followed at 3pm by the High School Varsity Girls Volleyball. Play was both exciting and spirited throughout.
At 7pm, the SHHS band performed on the football field followed shortly thereafter by the SHHS Cheer squad. The football Bears finished up the evening showcasing some of their talent as they get ready to begin their season.
All proceeds went to benefit student athlete activities.
