Humans of the Hillside – Bradley Tucker

Community is something very important here on the Hillside. For many, the focus is on belonging to a community, but for some standout students, the focus shifts to building it. One of those that we’d like to recognize today is Bradley Tucker.

Bradley’s commitment isn’t just to his personal studies, but in creating impact and relationships that are far outside of himself. Bradley has been a member of Student Voice for three years, and deeply values the relationships with the staff and teachers he’s been able to build through the program .“Student Voice allows me to build relationships with people while also making them feel like their opinions matter,” he says when asked what he likes about Student Voice. The program is deeply focused on bridging the gap between staff and students, it’s even in the motto: Relationships Equal Results. Bradley views this though not just as a requirement of membership to fulfill but a joy.

His love for people is rooted in his love for Christ.  When asked why he values making people feel seen he said, “I want to make people feel like their opinions matter, that they matter too. It’s my way of displaying God’s love to others.” Bradley regularly attends First Assembly of God North Little Rock and can be seen regularly reading his Bible around campus.

As he steps into the future, he hopes to hold onto the same values of making people feel heard, seen, and loved that has brought him this far. He plans to attend Arkansas State University in the fall to pursue a degree in Psychology to ultimately become a mental health counselor.
