Humans on the hillside - Addison Thomas

Throughout the 2025-2026 school year, the Hillside Banner is recognizing our seniors before they graduate and head off to their future. Addison Thomas is one of our outstanding students here at Sylvan Hills. She is smart, talented, and has a great love for horses. You will always see her with a great attitude and a laugh. Not to mention she is one of our hardworking yearbook editors and is head of The Breeze!

Addison is in many clubs and is involved in a lot when it comes to both in and out of school. “I am involved in Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, and Yearbook. I am an editor for the Yearbook, so I work on spreads and all the things that come with that. I am also in charge of The Breeze (our lit mag) this year.”

She is always working so hard to make our fun additions to the school possible, and she does it with great enthusiasm and talent. Outside of school, Addison loves to volunteer – mainly at the library – walk her dog, and read! She is currently reading “Conclave” by Robert Harris “for the umpteenth time.”

She is proud to be a Bear and loves all of the opportunities she has received from our school. “I would have never been able to achieve and find out what I want to do in my future without going here!”

Speaking of her future, she plans on attending the University of Tulsa to major in English and minor in Philosophy and religion! Her goals are to get a background in English to help her with the reading she will have in law school, and is extremely excited for all the opportunities she will have at the University of Tulsa with it being a small school.

When it comes to her laptop, notebooks, and Pinterest, she has no idea what she would do without them. “I love Pinterest and it gives me ideas for all of my favorite things. Also, I can’t live without my horse collection: I have bookends, I have a small figurine on my bookshelf, I have a plushie, and I have a plethora of horse images on my wall.” Her passions are one of her best attributes, and she loves talking about them with anyone who will listen.

Addison has a bright and busy future ahead of her, so please join the Hillside Banner in wishing her the best of luck with her studies and adding on new additions to her beloved horse collection!
