Humans of the Hillside - Leia Jones

As we are coming up on graduation, the Banner wants to keep recognizing our hard working Seniors before they say one final goodbye to the Hillside. Leia Jones She is someone who carries the uplifting spirit in all of her classes. She keeps those around her in a good mood with her goofy personality. Not to mention she is one of our very own Banner authors!

Leia isn’t one to be in many clubs, “I don’t really do much at school, I just try to pay attention in class and keep my grades up!” However, when she’s not busy with her school work, she’s working hard at Plato’s Closet or reading some good books. She loves listening to music to pass time by. “Though it may sound cliche, I listen to music almost every moment throughout the day. I like all genres but my favorite artists are Radiohead and Ethel Cain.” Music is something she can’t live without, so there is rarely a time you’ll see her without headphones.

Something Leia loves about being at Sylvan Hills is “being able to get together with my friends and have a good time with them.” She loves being able to spend time with those she’s closest to, so you’ll typically find her with at least one of her friends. On that same note, she is also very easy to get along with. She’s got a personality that everybody is able to connect with and come to love.

After graduation in a couple months, all seniors are all going to have to decide what their future will look like, and for Leia, she’s got a couple of options. She’s looking at a few different ideas, but she’s got her mind on becoming an author. She has a talent when it comes to writing, which you all can see for yourselves by reading her articles in the Banner! She loves writing and is always looking for a new story to cover. However, she is also interested in becoming an esthetician in the beauty industry.
