The Sylvan Hills Bears boys soccer team (5-5-1)  fell 2–1 to the Greenbrier Panthers (5-4)  April 7th at Bill Blackwood Field in a hard-fought soccer varsity match that kicked off at 7 p.m. under cloudy skies in Sherwood, AR.

Sylvan Hills struck first early in the game around the 10 minute mark, scoring to take a 1–0 lead and energize the home crowd. The Bears controlled possession for much of the first half and looked strong offensively as they tried to extend their lead.

Greenbrier responded later in the half when the clock chipped down to 6 minutes, finding the back of the net to tie the match 1–1 before halftime. The second half remained competitive, with both teams creating scoring opportunities and battling for control of the ball. With about 10 minutes remaining in the game, the Panthers broke the tie with a goal that gave them a 2–1 advantage.
