Sylvan Hills High School spring production of Murder on the Orient Express is upon us. It is going to be in the Performing Arts Center from April 7-9.
Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. will be a school day performance for 8th-9th grade, and there is going to be a 7:00 p.m. show on that day as well. Wednesday will be at 9:30 a.m. for Sylvan HillsĀ High School, and our closing night will be on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
Murder on the Orient Express is a story about Hercule Poirot trying to solve a murder that happened on the Orient Express. He interviews travelers and pieces together clues in a closed-style room mystery.
The story is about Poirot finding a Murder on the train. He must solve the murder while the train is stuck in the snow. He investigates the people on the train about where they were that night while trying to make sure the evidence stays clear.
The genre is mystery, and that is the overall tone of the show. This story is a well known mystery, and it has been adapted into both play and film. A recent adaptation is theĀ 2017 movie coproduced and directed Kenneth Branagh from a screenplay by Michael Green, based on the 1934 novel by Agatha Christie.
